BB as I see you in my mind’s eye, I see a beautiful woman who loves her family, friends, and people. You have a passion for writing, art, photography, music, and gardening. I see your contagious smile and hear your laughter. I hear Mr. B reminding you to take a break for you have been working ever since you entered Green Run elementary school this morning. Mrs. Barbara (Bobbie) Butts will be missed by us all. So thankful to have been blessed by her beautiful voice these many years. For as long as I remember her, I've only known her to be a very kind and loving person. She and her husband sang in the Young Adult Choir at Piney Grove and were always gifted to be able to lead some great songs. Her signature song was "Because He Lives" and her soprano was always present when she was a part of the choir. Our condolences to her husband, Mr. Willis, children, Darren and LaKesha (Wow... I met Barbara at GRE where I drove. My first impression of her was WOW. Her Glow was beautiful and pulled me in. We shared a lot of food, laughs, prayers and I always loved to hear her sing. God has her now and her Glow is even brighter. My Love to the Family.

Margaret, Barbara, and Jean...I was doubly blessed when my former principal, Mr. Sykes, asked me to come and teach his second grade at Green Run Elementary School for that is where I met two of the most beautiful friends a person could ever be blessed with-Margaret Harold and Barbara Butts.We became so close and had so many good times.It was like God sent two angels straight from heaven just for me.Barbara was so sweet and so kind.There was nothing she wouldn't do for anyone.The whole school loved her. I could go on and on but we all know how beautiful her spirit is.I will truly miss her......To the family you have my love and condolences.If there is anything you need I am here for you...May God continue to hold you very close at this time...We can all be comforted in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior watching over us and we will see her again.

I met Barbara when we were in the 8th grade at Kellam HS. My life would be forever changed. We shared a friendship that would last forever. We shared our hopes and dreams and leaned on each other with the ups and downs teens have. As adults, we didn’t talk all the time but always knew the other was there when needed. Barbara was truly a wonderful, kind and beautiful soul who will be missed but, in my heart, forever. God has called his angel home.

Barbara was a true gem! She was caring, kind, supportive, and never knew a stranger. We worked together at Green Run Elementary School and I loved our daily chats after school. She genuinely cared for all of our staff and students.
